The
Whistler Valley Snowboard Academy
is launching its first year of
operation and will be the first
of it’s kind
in British Columbia, Canada. This
exciting venture is located in
Whistler B.C., a world-renowned,
four-season resort destination
that provides superior training
facilities both on and off the
mountains.
As a member of WVSA, you will
have the opportunity to ride
100+ days on the most incredible
terrain in North America. With
the guidance of professional
coaches and teachers, your WVSA
experience will encourage hard
work, self-discipline and dedication
providing a solid foundation
for success in every aspect of
life.
The WVSA is an extension of the
Whistler Valley Snowboard Club,
a Whistler Blackcomb teen program
successfully established since
1998 by founder and Director,
Rob Picard. The WVSC is
a close-knit community based
upon a strong system of communication,
leadership and structure. The
WVSA is dedicated to building
a worlds-class school tailored
to these same values.
Accomodations
The
Academy is prepared to accommodate
up to 9 co-ed students/athletes
with single and shared rooms. Two
well/balanced meals plus healthy
snacks will be provided and athletes
are welcomed to use the kitchen
at any time. A guardian
will always be present to assist
in any situation.
Careful consideration regarding
staffing ensures each member
will receive the attention they
deserve to thrive in this environment. Evening
tutoring, as well as, video analysis,
video editing and graphic design
workshops are included. Internet
service is provided and students
are encouraged to bring their
own laptops and any other electronic
device they may want to use.
